The flow of events in my life since returning from Panama has kept me from writing to you for a while.
But while I haven’t written to you, you are always there for me, a fact that I appreciate more than you know.
Ram Dass put it this way:
“If I go into the place in myself that is love, and you go into the place in yourself that is love, we are together in love.”
Today as I write it is Mothers Day, a time when we cherish those who gave us life. Beyond any other considerations, beyond how you think and feel about your mother, or your childhood there is that gift of life.
With that gift came another gift, a gift of unique sharing. The special way you share with others.
Have you thought about that?
What is your special gift of sharing, your unique sharing of the world through your eyes, though your mind, and most of all through your heart.
“Each of us finds his unique vehicle for sharing with others his bit of wisdom.”
Source Ram Dass
Sometimes, how someone shares their unique gift is obvious to us. Sometimes it’s not as obvious. But if we look, observe quietly, with out judgement, then we can see the unique sharing in our friends, or family, or neighbor down the street.
When we stop to look for that we are drawn closer to each other. We see what we’ve never really bothered to look for. Then we understand. We understand something deeply significant in another and that is where our hearts touch.
“What you meet in another being is the projection of your own level of evolution.”
Source Ram Dass
Can you identify it in yourself, in your best friend, in your sister or brother?
Do you see the unique sharing of their wisdom, your wisdom.
You have it, everyone has it.
But only by letting go of judgement, of trying to form the world into your perspective, can that light in you, in them come shining through.
This week is uniquely yours to live, to love, to give, to share.
The world needs your bit of wisdom. We need everyone’s bit of wisdom.
“Our rational minds can never understand what has happened, but our hearts, if we can keep them open to God, will find their own intuitive way.”
