Are You Making this Common Mistake?

In all of us there is a centered place where the light shines. It maybe hard to find at times but it is always there. You have it I have, your enemy has it. We are all equaled by it. Finding that light and learning how to let it center us is part of our daily journey.

Here’s the quote:

“Practice means to perform, over and over again in the face of all obstacles,
some act of vision, of faith, of desire. Practice is a means of inviting the perfection desired.”

“To practice over and over again some act of vision…” I love that part.

One of the biggest mistakes I see people make is not having clarity on that act of vision.

Do you have a clear vision of what you want from your life? Do you have a vision of how you want to show up every day? Do you have a vision of your life and how each day you live the fullest part of that vision that you can?

Most people just act out from day to day based on what is happening  to them right there and now. They react to the circumstances of their lives constantly being jostled by forces outside of them. We are bombarded daily about retirement planning, how much money we need to retire on, how much money we need to set aside to enjoy our so called “golden years”.

I met a man recently who had it all planned out like an accountant’s ledger. He would work till 55 when he
was going to retire and live a life of luxury in Panama(I believe). He was putting away now so he could do that when the time came. His job was a means to do that, allowing him a chance to sock as much money away as they ( his girlfriend included) could, so they could then lead the life of their dreams.

There was very little passion in his voice for his job,(that was just a means to an end.) Instead of doing what he was passionate about,he kept saying “passion is passion, no matter what you do, right?”

His vision was set in the future with no possibility of it happening now.

” To practice over and over again, some act of vision…” means you must do something in the present, you must practice living that vision now, no matter how imperfect it might be now. Only by creating your vision in this moment does it have any possibility of manifesting for you.

Your practice is for now, not some distant far off time.

Your Practice for Today

Sit down in a quiet place and get clear of what your vision for yourself is.

Then ask what steps you can take today to live that vision as close to the ideal as you can…today.

Let me know how you do. I am always interested in your feed back.

With Love

Nick
