There’s a lesson, at least one, in each experience we go through. We don’t know what we’re learning when we are leaning it; that’s not how these lessons work. They’re lessons for the heart and soul. They need to gradually work their way into the light. When we look back we see that each moment was only that–a moment in space and time.

Quite often when we hit the rough spots, we wonder what we did to get here, why we deserve to suffer through this pain, why attack our virtue and not some one else?

Through the pain, remorse, the tears and sorrow we loose sight of the bigger canvas, that of our life as a whole unit seen from space and frozen in time.

We fail to see the lesson, do not even want to think that there is a lesson.

Yet, years later the lesson is there, a mighty boon seen in retrospect, pain and suffering removed, and the healing complete.

In all things, this too shall pass.

This weekend find peace in quiet places and rest the soul with joy and love.

Just Drink Tea

When you drink tea, just drink tea .Enjoy drinking your tea.
Please don’t drink your suffering, your despair, your projects.
This is very important. Otherwise you can’t nourish yourself.”

You know I was going to fall in love with this one. It’s living in the “Now” stated in terms so simple you can’t help but reach a new understanding of the concept. When you are drinking tea, just drink tea. In North America you might say: “When you drink your coffee…”

To make things even clearer, you are asked not to drink your suffering, your despair or your projects. In other words just focus on the tea. If you do that there is no room for your suffering, or your despair or your projects: all those things turning in your mind.

This morning I sat out on my deck and just ate my breakfast, nothing else, just ate breakfast. I have to admit that I attempted to eat my projects but I sternly refocus on breakfast. I swear those peaches tasted sweeter, and the shreddies tasted of the wheat fields.

When I drove to work, I just drove to work. I didn’t drive my despair or my suffering or my projects, though I admit to slipping a couple of times.

Today, just enjoy your day, don’t enjoy your suffering or your despair or your projects, just enjoy your day.
