Autumn Mist by Pauline DeForest

I want to share something with you, a confession of sorts if you like. I have been deeply immersed in the personal development/spirituality field now for over 6 years. As long as I can remember I have been a seeker.

I write these pages with a genuine hope that they help you in someway…that they inspire you to keep on keeping on.
I share my personal story with you, not to build my own ego, but to offer my successes and failures to you hopeful for you to use and build from.

You might sometimes think I am being repetitive and I know I am to some extend…for a very good reason. That reason hit me over the head just the other day.

About two years ago I received Secrets of the Millionaire Mind: Mastering the Inner Game of WealthEntrepreneurship Books) by T.Harv Eker. Harv, is well know in the personal development field and his name crops up often when talking about wealth.

I picked up the book, as I said, about two years ago, read a little bit of it, and then put it down and never came back to it….until last week. For some reason I picked it up again with the intent of this time getting through the thing.

I had barely started reading when I had a huge cognition about my “Money Blueprint”. Now I’ve listed out my beliefs about moneyover and over. I must have made a lot more than a few lists over the last 6 years. Strangely none of those beliefs factored in my sudden insight into how I had been dealing with the whole issue of money and wealth. Yet what I realized about the “model” I’d been copying since childhood, is really simple and Duh!!! why didn’t I see it sooner.

Understand, I had read the same words before…and nothing happened! Understand I’ve done quite a bit of work around money and wealth…and this particular cognition never even stirred in my unconscious mind.

So why now?

It’s simple and it is really important you understand this.

I was ready! I was ready to see a truth…that had always been there but hidden from my sight?

Why wasn’t I ready before? Again it’s simple… I hadn’t done the work that would allow be to raise my awareness to a point of intersection, with my unconscious mind where I could see what behaviors I had been modelling.

Have I become instantly wealthy over night? No. But I now understand the self limiting belief and can spot it every
time it raises it’s ugly head.

My next job is to change the modelling to a new belief.

But that’s not the point I am aiming for.

The point is…you don’t get it, until you are ready to get it.

There is no point in stressing and obsessing. You just have to stay open to the learning… even if it is something you have read before.

I have shelves full of books I’ve read, and those CD holders full of CD’s I’ve listened too, some of them many times.
Beneath them all is the same message retold and retold a million different ways.

Meditation is also key as it helps you bring to the surface that which you need to bring to the surface at this time.

The lesson is to do “The Work” and keep doing “The Work.”

Don’t question it, or second guess it or doubt it…don’t do anything with it…just do it. Don’t worry about how your meditation went, or whether you did the gratitude page right or if you chose the right things to manifest today. Just continue “The Work.”

And have faith that the door way is opening for you. Have faith that the threshold is there for you to step across.
Know that you will be reward in huge ways for doing “The Work”, but understand that you will not know the time and the place of your reward…accept that it will be BIG!

Here’s the Quote:

The teacher you need is the person you’re living with.

  2. Absolutely correct, Nick. Many years ago a friend gave me the book Illusions, and it meant nothing to me; didn’t remember a single thing and I also didn’t care. A couple of years ago I decided to give it a try again and this time I got it and I liked it. I was ready for it then; just amazing, but that’s how it goes sometimes.

  3. Great to hear from you Mitch! I find it fascinating how material that wasn’t accessible at some point in the pass can become so crystal clear at a later date. When that happens it is a wonderful sign: you are still continuing to grow and learn.
