Emotional Freedom Technique or Tapping is one of those elegant but simple to use and apply techniques that have a powerful impact on the way we cope with life situations. Here is one for you to follow for general overwork and stress. If you aren’t familiar with the Tapping points you can follow this link and download a free tapping e-book.

To use the script just read the text and tap on the meridian point indicated. You can do this on your self of lead friends and family by having them repeat the words after you and copy where you are tapping. Don’t be afraid to try this: it is really easy to do.

Keep the process going until you feel some relief…a lightening of your mood, a change in your attitude: be watching for some internal release. It doesn’t have to be a “WOW” moment, though it could be.  Pay attention to what cones up during the session, a specific memory or incident, write it down in your journal and then go back and tap on the specific memory that came up.

The script below came to me from Nick Ortner of the Tapping Solution in one of his periodic emails and I have replicated it here for you just as he wrote it.

1.  General Overwork and Overstress

Karate Chop:  Even though I’m totally overworked,
really stressed out and have WAY too much to
do…. I deeply and completely accept myself

(Repeat the above phrase three times while
Tapping on the karate chop point)

Eyebrow: Way too much to do…
Side of the Eye:  My “to-do” list is a mile long…
Under Eye: When will I ever get it done?
Under Nose: I’ll never get it done…
Under Mouth: I’m overworked and stressed out….
Collarbone: When can I relax?
Under the Arm: I can’t seem to relax
Top of the Head: Too much to do…

(Repeat the above phrases a couple of times,
you can throw in your own phrases as well, and
when you feel significant relief, move on to
the positive phrases)

Eyebrow: I chose to relax now…
Side of the Eye: I chose to REALLY relax now…
Under the Eye: I’ll never get it ALL done…
Under Nose: And that’s ok…
Under Mouth: I chose to slow down and take a breath…
Collarbone: I am not my “to-do” list…
Under the Arm: I am good enough no matter
what I get done…
Top of the Head: I chose to relax and let it go now…

Let me know how you do with this or if you have any questions I can help you with.

To a beautiful summer morning of the soul.

Nick

One Response to “A Tapping Script for Overworked and Overstressed”

  1. EFT says:

    Hi There Beautifulsummermorning,
Neat Post This small, one inch high box, appears on my computer desktop every day. It is always hidden in the upper left hand corner of my computer screen. When I pull it out I can’t view the properties, I can’t make it bigger/smaller and I don’t know what it is. It looks like a regular window or internet browser window downsized to a tiny size and some times the color changes in the center box, especially when I mess with it. Is some one spying on my computer? Is it a script? How can I tell if some one is tapping into my computer or coming in through other unused internet or network ports? Can a router help?
I look forward to your next post
