A Holy Encounter: Marianne Williamson Quote

When you meet anyone, remember it is a holy encounter. As you see him, you will see yourself. As you treat him, you will treat yourself. As you think of him, you will think of yourself. Never forget this, for in him you will find yourself or lose yourself.

A Holy EncounterWhat a wonderful way to grant full beingness to another. Just imagine what it would be like if you treated every one you met as a holy encounter.
People venture onto our path for a reason. Unfortunately, sometimes we wander by without really seeing who is there. But if you treat every encounter as holy, then you raise up the everyday to something extraordinary.
That holy encounter then becomes a mirror reflecting back to you. What you see in him, is a reflection of you. How you treat him is a reflection of how you treat yourself.
“Never forget this, for in him you will find yourself..” Wow.
Tell me that changes you perspective even just a little bit!
If you commit to following the practice of seeing every encounter as holy, then you have made a huge difference in every day of your life.
Something that simple to do…in practice.
But that’s why its called a practice.
You need to practice and become better at treating all encounters as holy.
Learn to give as much beingness to another as you give yourself.

Dear Nick, this is beautiful, AND it’s something I’ve really been thinking/feeling a lot about lately. At this point in my life it is something that I feel so deeply, with my whole being and it makes me see the world differently. There is both a power and a peace in it. Power because I can move beyond the “us and them” and really create my world more fully, lovingly. And peaceful because to see it all as “one” allows us to let go and simply “be” more. It’s as if all the world “out there” is an extension of us. And we are an extension of it. So beautiful. Simply reading this post brought me great peace and love. Thank you for that. Hugs, Robin

Hi Robin,
Thanks for your wonderful comment. When one gives up the resistance to things, then all the conflict melts away and we experience that wonderful peaceful serenity of being.
I love Marianne Williamson for the way she expresses herself and the very inspiring way she talks.
