Just Drink Tea

When you drink tea, just drink tea .Enjoy drinking your tea.
Please don’t drink your suffering, your despair, your projects.
This is very important. Otherwise you can’t nourish yourself.”Source: TheArt of Power

You know I was going to fall in love with this one. It’s living in the “Now” stated in terms so simple you can’t help but reach a new understanding of the concept. When you are drinking tea, just drink tea. In North America you might say: “When you drink your coffee…”
To make things even clearer, you are asked not to drink your suffering, your despair or your projects. In other words just focus on the tea. If you do that there is no room for your suffering, or your despair or your projects: all those things turning in your mind.
This morning I sat out on my deck and just ate my breakfast, nothing else, just ate breakfast. I have to admit that I attempted to eat my projects but I sternly refocus on breakfast. I swear those peaches tasted sweeter, and the shreddies tasted of the wheat fields.
When I drove to work, I just drove to work. I didn’t drive my despair or my suffering or my projects, though I admit to slipping a couple of times.
Today, just enjoy your day, don’t enjoy your suffering or your despair or your projects, just enjoy your day.

Two cups of the green before the madness begins…always.
All Tea is good, but green tea has so many health benefits, make it green tea. I come from a long line of Tea Drinking English. A cup of tea could solve all the worlds woes. And I go on record here and now, and apologize for those horrible tea taxes we imposed on the colonies way back when.

I enjoyed this, very zen and inspirational. Though it is really not about tea, I do enjoy green teas every day.
I like the suggestion that we live in the moment, enjoying what we are doing, drinking tea or sitting in an airport, and not allow other intrusions to get in the way of the now.
Thanks…
peace,

Hi (I Miss My Hair) Mike,
Click the link folks you’ll enjoy I promise.
Thanks for your comments. I loved the quote the moment it jumped off the page at me. I love the comment about our projects as I have always got one going. Now I sip my tea and smell the roses instead.
Green tea is awesome and healthy but when you’re dipping cookies(no so healthy) you need the good old black kind.
