K D Lang Sings Hallelujah: Sunday Inspirational Video
I stumbled upon this recording quite by “accident” last week while I was searching for last weeks Inspirational Video. I wanted to hear the original version of the song sung by Jeff Buckley and written by Leonard Cohen. After I listened to Jeff Buckley, I didn’t think anyone else could do as good a job. I went on to hear about four other versions done by various male artists and decided Hallelujah adapted well to most voices though I still liked Jeff Buckley’s the best. Then I thought, “Why not try a female vocalist?” I listen to a two recordings that I liked, then I listen to K. D. Lang and the rest as they say is history. This is one amazing performance. Just listen to the audience all the way through this song.
This is stirring inspirational stuff; just the performance alone is worth the few minutes of your time, but the song stirs emotions and you will be swept away.
