Every night before I close my eyes I go to my other house somewhere in more tropical surrounding. The house sits up from the sea. In my room I can hear the crashing of the surf, through the open floor to ceiling windows. White sheer curtains stir in the breeze off the ocean. Downstairs, off from the circular staircase, on the left is a dining room and through a large archway I enter a kitchen with windows that run the entire length of the room where I can look out at the patio and the sea.

Some nights I go for a walk where I take delight in the play of light on the white foamy caps of the waves.

Usually by this time I fall asleep.

If you watch figure skaters: they build the image of the jump before they take it. Athlete’s use this power of visualization every day.

In the book “You Were Born Rich, Bob Proctor relates a story about a well respected sales man who wants to move his office rank from #175 out of a 500 to top 100. Every year he sets out the plans to get him there. Every year his rank didn’t improve, until a conversation with Bob showed him he needed to think that he all ready was in the top 100. In six months he took the office he was transfer to from 163 to #11 in the company.

You might not think you can do that, but start with something smaller and work up.

If you think you can’t you won’t.

If you think you can at the very least you might.

And all that travel to visit my other house every day ensures I sleep like a baby!
