As part of my lecture series, as a friend would say, I have been talking about the pace, at which we lead our lives. But how do we slow down?

I do not have all the answers. I have deadlines, friends, family, meals to cook, a garden to weed, and any number of tasks that pull in every direction, even more so now with this newsletter and a website I want to succeed. Nothing has changed in my physical life, but I have made an adjustment in thought.

Now when I find the pace getting out of hand, I stop and tell myself, “I have all the time I need.”

After about two months of this I noticed a difference. My days off last longer! I am more at peace inside where a well of stillness resides which I can call on when I need it.

Changing thought patterns is not easy. Practice makes perfect as they say.

This Thursday, try using my affirmation whenever the pace of the day seems to be running away from you. Stop and say, “I have all the time I need.” Say it over and over until you breathe deep the air and let the world flow into and through you.
