Beautiful summer morning… a sudden appearance of a faint colored canvas in the sky. Suddenly, it’s a surprise no longer. The color becomes vivid…. yes, it’s at its best, of equally assigned perfect colours, a rainbow…. loud and proud, prudish but grand, and definitely, a frontliner. An expression of faith…. a symbol of hope… that behind a challenging thick clouds lies a ray of hope and faith that tomorrow means a better and brighter day … another beautiful summer morning. Bravo!
Those were the very precious beautiful summer mornings… THEN.
NOW… beautiful summer morning is…
…. Making the most of what is left…
…. Getting up feeling refreshed after a memorable evening pleasantries with a girlfriend over a cup of coffee along the esplanade (followed by a leisure walk along the shores, looking up to the boundless horizon glittering with its array of brilliant stars, searching for the half-crescent moon hiding beneath the cathedral of clouds, sniffing the remaining sea breeze abandoned by the daytime waders. A feeling of serenity inside…. almost like a religion. Yes, it’s another good way of unloading - prior to a busy day (be it a pleasant or distressing ones). The touch of the gentle wind leaves a rejuvenated feeling…. that the next day to follow is definitely going to be a beautiful summer morning.
Beautiful summer morning is… getting connected…. being in touch.
…Calling friends from various parts… sending messages of encouragement the time when they need it most…drilling their brains for answers to problems you cannot solve (never ending puzzles)…or just reminiscing the good old days (spent or wasted, which you chose to either despair or enjoy), or just plainly exchanging no-nonsensical issues just to while away the time. Whatever it is, however said…it should sum up to an absolutely beautiful summer morning.
… Putting back the hands of time…. the time of Seals and Crofts, Mamas and the Papas, Jim Croce, Henry Mancini… loads of them… Reminiscing the time and remembering each songs (reminding you of each and every incident - pleasant or not, each and every person, and how they influenced each and every chapter of your life… whether it changed you for good or for better. Then good or bad, the key thing is…. it let you grow.
Beautiful summer morning is….
…. Embracing music of the wilderness, nurturing Ken Davis’ Call of the Dolphins…and watching my dog run to the farthest corner of the back fence. And from a distance, she stares at me with a “how-could-you-do-that” look. I could bet my bottom dollars, she abhors my new age music. Yes, she does. She wouldn’t leave her chosen “safe house” (in between the two palm trees) until I terminate the sound. Isn’t she funny?
… Speaking of music (for my dog), a beautiful summer morning is… listening to Mommy’s “mosaic” kind-of-put-together-lullaby - a funny vernacular language, garnished with some out-of-this world half-baked English, and incorporated with, and to the tune of a backward old folk music. Crazy! But it turned out all right. She loves it, though.
I am…smiling
