Bits and Pieces

By Nicholas Simon Grimshawe

Okay folks I have some odd bits to post to the site today. They are fragments of poems Kamagra Gold and thoughts.

Now I do not pretend to be a great poet or even a mediocre one, I just love the way images form in my mind. I don’t slave over every word, or worry about Iambic Pentameter.

I just want to get the words down. I’d like you to do the same. I believe there is a poet in each and every one of us. The beauty of the Internet is you don’t have to satisfy some Ivory Tower editor. Just send your work to me. If it reflects the spirit of Beautiful Summer Morning, then you have a forum.

MY SOUL

I throw my soul into the sea,
To be washed by tides that ebb and flow,
Around and deep within me,
Churned in the swells and troughs of life,
To be tossed back to the Sand,
At some later time.
Spent,
But completely Clean and Free.

Just a Sentence

Light Sparkles on the Dancing Sea
Enticing me.

A Bannister of Stars

Slide down a banister of stars,
To be propelled out into the deep, dark, void,
And land upon a moonbeam, dancing, laughing,

Slide down a stairway of starlight
To hop a ride on a fiery, sputtering comet,
Throw back you head, fill your lungs with joy.

Slide down the solar system,
Passed Pluto, Neptune, Uranus, Saturn, Jupiter, and Mars,
To the moon then Earth

Slide down the sky
To a fragrant green jungle
And,
Rebirth,
Again,
And a Smile.

A New Symbol of Hope:

Seed of a 2000-Year-Old Extinct Date Palm Spouted!

Elaine Solowey is the botanist who managed this feat. The seed was carbon dated to confirm its age. The seed was discovered at an archaeological dig at King Herod’s palace on Mount Masada close to the Dead Sea. Talk about the ring of history.

The point is this little date seed, managed to hold the spark of life within it, for 2000 years! If that isn’t a potent symbol for hope and the tenacity of life then I don’t know what is.

ONE LAST THING

I don’t remember whether I read this somewhere or I came up with it. But I thought it interesting enough to put in my Journal.

“Read widely that one can see through other eyes.”

Where ever its from. I love it.
