Try to remember the kind of September
When life was slow and oh so mellow
Try to remember the kind of September
When grass was green and grain so yellow
Try to remember the kind of September
When you were a young and a callow fellow
Try to remember and if you remember
Then follow–follow, oh-oh
Source:Try to Remember, Lyrics by Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt
Here, where I live, this September is like the song. I think the quality of the light has something to do with the words from the song. The light is golden and casts a lazy glow over the landscape. The air is still warm, yet the breeze is cool. We seem to linger on the edge of fall suspended in time, waiting.
Enjoy the season, get out into the countryside and feel the old rhythm of life at harvest time.
Have a great day.
