“I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand.”

Source: Confucius

One night each week I sit down to research the quotes for the next week. Each time I start the research, I am not necessarily inspired. I might be tired, or a little cranky, or a bit of both. But as I start hunting for quotes that really please me, with the hope that what pleases me will please you, my lastitude is forgotten, crankiness gets swept away in a rush of exhilaration. Before I know it a theme has emerged and the real fun begins. Now I’m in the “doing phase”. I’m no longer thinking about doing which is a terrible drain on your energy. I’m doing, and understanding follows rapidly on action’s heels. Take what Confucius says to heart.

Take something you have been thinking about doing (just as an experiment,) and do it. How does it make you feel? Thinking about doing is hard work, doing is easier.

What ever you do today, do it in the sunshine. Have a beautiful Wednesday.
