You wonder along the way if his marriage will survive, if he will recognize one of the sources of his troubles and will he extract himself from his situation or continue to make one blunder after another.
 
You identify closely to Larry because you have probably made the same mistakes. Even after Larry suffers his dark night of the soul, and begins to get an inkling of the solution, he continues to think with his old paradigm.
