The Dream is the ideal. Everything else should be a step on your ascending ladder towards your ideal or dream.
ÂÂ
ÂÂ
If you have arrived here, at Sunshine Dialogue Number three, I hope that you took the detour to Franklin Covey to take the Mission statement workshop. I hope you have now written that statement down in your diary, so that you can refer to it form time to time.
ÂÂ
Learning to live your mission statement is no easy task. There will be distractions and diversions. The personal mission statement is there to pull you back on course, like a compass. With your personal Mission Statement, you now have a beacon to light the path ahead, show where the pitfalls are, so hopefully, you can avoid them.

Here is one of the most famous dreams of the twentieth century:

ÂÂ
ÂÂ
ÂÂ
ÂÂ
The dream has not been meet; we are still seeking to reach those lofty aims. Good men and women have given their hearts to see this dream become a reality. You can complain that we are not there yet. You can be cynical and claim we will never get there. You can sneer at the efforts of others as timid or misguided. But first you must ask, where would we be today, if this dream had not been articulated in such a powerful fashion? The words moved people to action, and action led to results. The measure of an ideal is not whether the dream was attained, but rather the people the dream inspired to reach out to grasp it. The grasping for an ideal begets results. The attainment of a dream means a new one must now be formulated.
ÂÂ
An ideal is your hand reaching for the sky and never quite being able to grasp it.
ÂÂ
I have spoken often of striving to get what’s inside out. Below is an edited transcript of and effort to articulate what Beautiful Summer Morning.Com is all about, part of our ongoing efforts to strive to articulate our dream.
ÂÂ
Change is not easy, especially inside of us.
ÂÂ
ÂÂ
We live our lives on many levels; there is our everyday life or everyday persona, which we present to the world. But there are other layers beneath that, layers that our everyday persona is there to protect against, layers that prevent us from living as deeply as we could, because we are afraid of those emotions that lie deeper, that sudden rush of feeling, that almost shock when something a friend does, reaches deep down inside of you and touches something very unfamiliar, and stirs emotions like passion, love, appreciation, affinity. Those things stir us deeply. We are often afraid to experience those emotions.
Driving around and suddenly being touched and moved  almost to tears by the way a tree is swaying in the wind and the sunshine is hitting the leaves, We don’t allow our selves to experience on that level as much as we should.
ÂÂ
And then thinking of things that… I guess what Beautiful Summer Morning is about, is trying to get you to break through your every day persona, reach down deeper, and let those emotions be stirred. Let the beauty of this planet rush into you.
ÂÂ
I mean on my drive home, I mean I have a stunning drive home, from work. It changes my view of the world, the view in my whole mind and quite often, I am overwhelmed by the beauty of that view. People get tired of these things! How I don’t know. But the whole idea behind my blog or my website, is to have you look a little deeper, at the things that move you, dig down and find the passions that have meaning in your life and move them closer to the surface to deal with what those emotions do, that rush of feelings
ÂÂ
We’re conditioned not to feel, everything blasts at us. We sit and watch the world news at supper and all the horrible deeds, and people blown to pieces in the streets and we sit there and eat our supper. We are conditioned not to feel and I am saying to find meaning in your life, to find passion and desire, and all those things, to let things reach out and touch you that is what we are all about.
ÂÂ
Your diary is one way for you to reach deeper into those layers. Recording your thoughts and feelings, noting down your observations, sketching (yes I know you can’t draw, but that doesn’t matter, and you’ll be surprised at how good you will get as your powers of observation improve) in black and white or ink or colour, all these things will help you find the deeper pools of self.
ÂÂ
Sharpen your observations skills, by noting something different in your familiar surroundings. Do this exercise every day. Make notes of your discoveries.
ÂÂ
In Sunshine Dialogues number four; we are going to talk about another book that will help you to stretch those new self-awareness muscles.
